Last updated: 12 October 2026 · App: Desconfio! / Bluff! (Android, package com.kodalab.desconfio) · Developer: Joel Gomes (Kodalab) · Contact: joel.gomes@kodalab.pt · Português
No account or free text. Practice and daily challenges work offline. Usage measurement is optional and off by default. Online games use our room server.
Only when enabled in Settings, the app sends daily counts of opens, games started and finished, rematches, daily challenges, shares, closed interstitials, optional reward offers and taps, and earned ad rewards to Kodalab over HTTPS. A random identifier changes each UTC day; the report also contains the date you opted in, to measure returns after one and seven days. No cards, chosen names, room codes, advertising identifiers or permanent device identifiers are included. The server stores a hashed daily identifier and counters for deduplication for up to 48 hours after the last accepted report, and daily/cohort totals for up to 35 days. The IP address is processed transiently to limit abuse. Reports are not sold or sent to Google. Switching this option off deletes pending local measurement data and stops further reports; already aggregated totals remain until expiry. A request already transmitted cannot be recalled. Local gameplay counters cover up to 35 days and can be cleared in Settings without deleting your game progress. Daily answers, missions and cosmetic progress remain on your phone.
When you play with friends, the app connects to our server at kodalab.pt. For each room it keeps, in memory only: the 4-letter room code, each player's name and face (both picked from fixed lists in the app — nobody can type text), the random identifier of each phone (so you can reconnect after losing signal), and the game state. Rooms are deleted when the players leave, after a few minutes without anyone connected, and in any case within 6 hours. So that a server update does not end games in progress, open rooms are also saved for a few minutes in a file on the server (same content as above, with the phone identifier stored only as a one-way fingerprint) and deleted when they close. Group tables keep a monthly leaderboard on the server: the fingerprint, the chosen name and face, games and wins for the month; it is deleted after 120 days without use. Public tables match players only by app language. The server uses your IP address only to limit abuse (how many connections and rooms per address); it does not write IP addresses, names or games to logs or to disk. Only aggregate counts (number of rooms and games) are logged. There is no chat: players can only send a few preset reactions.
The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on menu screens, in the room lobby and during play, with reserved space below the controls, an occasional full-screen ad between finished games (never during a hand), and optional ads you can choose to watch to try another table theme for 24 hours or, in Practice only, to get hints or peek at the pile. There are no purchases. When consent allows it, AdMob may collect the advertising ID, approximate location from the IP address, device information and ad interactions, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA and the UK you are asked first with Google's consent form; you can change your choice in Settings → «Ad privacy options». See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
A card game for a general audience; not directed at children.
We hold no account or profile about you; room data disappears on its own. For questions or requests: joel.gomes@kodalab.pt. For AdMob data, see Google's privacy policy.
