What stays on your device
Your career — the team, the riders, the bike, the calendar, the results and the ledger — and the daily challenge are saved on the phone and never sent to us, apart from the optional world ranking entry described below. Uninstalling the game erases them.
What the game itself sends
There is no account, no sign-up and no usage analytics of our own. Apart from the optional world ranking below, the only request the game
makes to us is to fetch the short list of other Kodalab games shown under "Also from Kodalab" (from
kodalab.pt, at most once a day, without cookies or identifiers); like any web request, our server sees
your IP address in its access log, and nothing about you or your career is sent. Exporting and sharing a career only
happen when you press the button and choose where to send the file. The optional daily reminder is a local
notification scheduled on the phone; you can turn it off in the game or in Android settings. A request to rate the
game is handled by Google Play.
World ranking (optional). Only if you ask for it: after the official daily challenge race, the game offers the
world ranking. If you choose a name (up to 16 characters) instead of "Not now", it sends that name, the score, the date,
a timestamp and a random identifier created on your device to kodalab.pt. Viewing the ranking sends only that
random identifier and the date. Our server keeps IP addresses only as a salted, truncated hash, to limit abuse. No
account, no e-mail, no contacts, no location. To delete your entry, e-mail joel.gomes@kodalab.pt with the name shown on the ranking.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and paid for by ads served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): a banner, occasional full-screen ads between races, an ad when the game is opened, and rewarded ads — paddock guest, sponsor advance, night shift, spare engine and rider dossier — that only appear when you press the button that asks for them.
To show, measure and protect ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:
- the Android advertising identifier (and the app set ID);
- your IP address, from which an approximate location is derived;
- device and app information: model, Android version, language, screen, app name and version;
- interactions with the ads (views, taps) and diagnostic data such as crash and performance logs.
Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the game shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before any ads, after a short explanation. If you do not consent to personalised ads, Google serves non-personalised ads, which still use some of the data above for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. You can change your choice at any time in Options → «Ad privacy choices» («Escolhas de privacidade dos anúncios» in Portuguese) inside the game (the entry appears whenever Google requires it for your region). Alternatively, clear the game's storage in Android Settings → Apps → PITWALL MOTO → Storage (export your career first, as this also erases it from the phone); the form appears again the next time you open the game. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads).
How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites · Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
There are no purchases in this game. Every reward is capped per season: watching more ads does not win a championship.
Children
This game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
You can erase everything on the device by uninstalling the game, or from the game's own Options, under "Start a new career". We hold no personal data about you other than your ranking entry, if you joined the world ranking (delete it by e-mailing joel.gomes@kodalab.pt with the name shown on the ranking); for data held by Google for advertising, use the settings and links above. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD). How to delete your data.
