No account, no purchases, no usage analytics. Pass-the-phone play works offline. Online games go through our room server, which keeps only what a room needs while it exists.
When you play online, the app connects to our server at kodalab.pt and sends a random device token; the server keeps only an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of it. For each room, private or quick play, it keeps in memory only: the room code, the nickname you chose, the one-word clues typed during the game, the votes and the game state. Everything is deleted when the room ends. There is no chat. Quick play matches players only by app language. You can mute or report a player; reports are counted by the token fingerprint for 24 hours to keep abusers out, then deleted. The server uses your IP address only to limit abuse and does not store it.
If you choose to join the ranking, the server keeps your nickname and the points earned in online games, linked to a random ranking id kept on the phone, and shows them in the app. To delete your entry, ask by email.
The app is free and shows Google AdMob ads: a small banner, at most one full-screen ad between rounds (at least 90 seconds apart), and optional videos you can choose to watch to unlock a word pack for 24 hours. There are no purchases. Where consent allows, AdMob may collect the advertising ID, device information and ad interactions, as Google describes, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. A party game for a general audience; not directed at children. The Party 16+ pack is hidden by default and never contains explicit content.
